The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines marked the second anniversary of the Philippine Motorcycle Tourism (PMT) with a celebration at the World Trade Center on 9 December 2023. The event featured a vloggers’ conference and a lively riders’ night, bringing together motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country.
Ms. Teresita DL. Landan, Manager of TPB’s Domestic Promotions Department, opened the vloggers’ conference with an insightful overview of Philippine Motorcycle Tourism. She acknowledged the contribution of the riders to domestic tourism and explained how the PMT program aims to strengthen their love for the country and motorcycle riding.

TPB also tapped several content creators for the vloggers’ conference to further engage motovloggers in promoting the different destinations in the country. Mr. Raymon Gabriel of the Breakfast Ride Community started the program by sharing how motorcycle adventures create opportunities for travel, content creation, and community building. Afterward, content creator Mr. Ibba “Tunay na Rider” Rasul-Bernardo explained how he started his podcast and how other riders can also show their passion for Moto-tourism through online platforms. Finally, Ms. Arlyne “Inday Rider” Diaz inspired attendees by sharing her journey of building self-confidence through riding and encouraging more females to join the riding community. Motovloggers also had the opportunity to discuss various ideas and concerns about moto-tourism during the group discussion, with the participation of said content creators and Mr. Cesar Villanueva of TPB.
Following the informative conference, TPB hosted a riders’ night dedicated to moto-tourism advocates. The evening program commenced with a Sinulog-inspired performance by PMT ambassadress, Ms. Jet Lee. TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles officially opened the event with a warm welcome to hundreds of attendees.
“Two years ago, the Philippine Motorcycle Tourism was born from a shared mission between the Tourism Promotions Board and the Department of Tourism to rekindle the public’s confidence in travel. Since then, we have seen an extraordinary surge in interest and support, transforming this initiative into a community of riders united by a common purpose,” said TPB COO Nograles.

Esteemed guests also graced the riders’ night. As a motorcycle enthusiast, Hon. Joseph Victor G. Ejercito reminded his fellow riders of their role in promoting domestic tourism. Meanwhile, Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco expressed in a video message how DOT’s programs can assist riders as they safely travel around the Philippines. DOT Undersecretary Shalimar Hofer Tamano, DOT Region 1 Director Joseph Ortega, and Pasay City Administrator Atty. Peter Manzano also attended the event to show their support for mototourism.
The night concluded with a ceremonial toast, led by Mr. Cesar R. Villanueva of TPB, followed by lively interactions among riders from different motorcycle clubs.TPB first launched the Philippine Motorcycle Tourism program on 20 November 2021, recognizing motorcycle tourism as one of the fastest-growing niche markets in the Philippines and aims to strengthen it by organizing events and group rides across the country.
