| Brief Description | It is a weeklong celebration of the solidarity of the various cultural groups held every September on the occasion of the province’s founding day. The Philippines in known for its colorful and lively festivals (the fiestas) which derive their forms from the unique and diverse culture of different people groups populating the archipelago. One of these festivals is the Megayon Festival of Zamboanga del Sur. Spearheaded by the Provincial government, it features and highlights trade and travel products, culture and traditions of different municipalities including their local festivals. |
